The landscape of Mill Hill School is characterised by the terraces. These have been added to throughout its history in order to allow for the development of the School. In 1926 the pupils actually helped with the levelling of earth. Top Terrace is the most evocative and at the heart of the School and indeed the Foundation.
Top Terracers will be at the heart of the Foundation Appeal and of the long-term fundraising strategy of the Foundation. Over the years Top Terracers will widen access to the Foundation Schools through the provision of bursaries and unlock funds for the building programme. Each Top Terracer can select where to allocate his/her gift.
Founder Membership of the Top Terracers will be awarded to the first 200 to commit a minimum gift of £5,000 and gifts can qualify for Gift Aid thus increasing the value to the Foundation to £6,410. The £5,000 can be made as a one-off donation or by commitment to monthly or annual direct debits.
Bursaries or capital projects that have been realised by funding from the Top Terracers will be acknowledged in an appropriate manner. Names of Top Terracers will be published in the Annual Report of the Appeal although anonymity will be guaranteed should a Member request this.
